An rich old-time classic witherite from the famous Type Locality Alston Moor District. Densely intergrown waxy luster, translucent, light yellow, pseudo-hexagonal dipyramids form an impresssive, large, mounded hemispherical specimen. Complete all-around and pristine, except for the acceptable periphery wear. White fluorescence. This is a very fine and rich large example of the species and historic locale from an East Coast collection. Specimens of this size, richness and quality are seldom on the market.
