Item Description
Witherite from the famous Brownley Hill Mine of Cumbria is a classic species. Lustrous, translucent, stepped-growth crystals in the typical conical form cover the front of this showy and excellent old-timer. Mine records at this historic mine date from 1735 to abandonment in 1936. Alston Moor mining evidence dates to 1130! Specimens of this quality are rare from this renowned Type Locality. valued at $750
