Item Description
Arguably the world's finest Witherites have come from Northern England. This fine example has a different habit than the more common squat crystals you associate with England, so this piece is noteworthy. Here we have a bouquet-like cluster of tan, lustrous, and translucent Witherites, and they have a strong, white-beige fluorescence. These classics date to the mid to late 1800s, when many of the old mining districts of England were very active. From the noted historic classics collection of Richard 'Dick' Hauck of New Jersey.
