Item Description

Witherite from this locality, seldom seen in this quality today, is considered by most to set the standard for the species. These crystals have the classic pseudo-hexagonal barrel shape, with a few of the smaller ones tapering towards the terminations. These large Witherites measure to about 3 cm in both width and length. Also typical is the micro-stepping on their faces, the slightly "off-white" color, and the translucency. Good aesthetics and fluorescence. These are rare, and in demand. valued $1250-1500
