Item Description

From the famous Minerva #1 Mine, this is an outstanding Witherite cluster on matrix. The pseudo-hexagonal pyramids or dipyramids are sharp and well-formed. The Witherites are translucent and horizontally striated, with silky to good luster. The striking, doubly-terminated crystal is 2.5 cm tip to tip. Classic and elegant older material from this renowned locale, the pristine crystals make this an excellent specimen for the locality, as well as the species. Superb white fluorescence, as you would expect. This piece should be valued around $900-1250 for the sharpness of the crystals and their isolation on matrix. Rare!
