Item Description

A beautifully elegant and RARE arborescent wire silver from a 2010 find at a formerly obscure gold mine in Shandong Province. The wires in the "trunk" artistically branch out into curved and curled "limbs". The branches and curved trunk hold "leaves" of cream-colored calcite rhombohedrons as a striking complement. This adorable and wonderful wire silver with calcite resembles classic wire silvers with calcite from the famous and historic silver mines of Kongsberg, Norway. These are rumored to come out of a commercial gold mine in this county, which has numerous small mines for ores.
