Wire Silver on matrix with Quartz (classic material)

When it comes to wire Silvers, there is no more classic locality than Kongsberg, Norway. This historic mining district dates back nearly 400 years, and produced some of the most impressive and recognizable specimens of wire Silver in the world. This particular specimen is an attractive large thumbnail / toenail sized piece featuring , striated, aesthetic curling wires Silver with a lovely patina associated with minor Quartz and minor metallic Pyrite on matrix. It's certainly an attractive piece and would make a great addition to a suite of native elements, or a collection of European classics. You don't see many matrix Silvers from Kongsberg on the market these days, especially with a crystallized Quartz association. The piece comes from the collection of Brett Keller.
