When it comes to wire Silvers, there may be no better or more classic locality than Kongsberg. This historic mining district dates back nearly 400 years, and produced some of the most impressive and recognizable specimens of wire Silver in the world. This particular specimen is an attractive, rather thick, striated, aesthetic single wire of Silver with a lovely almost coppery colored patina. It's certainly a full-sized thumbnail, and would make a great addition to a thumbnail suite, a native elements collection, or a collection of European classics. From the Rich Kosnar collection.
