A striking and very exotic collection of 20 exquisitely sculptural, curved and curled silver wires from recent finds at the Hongda Mine of China. The pieces range from thumbnails to small cabinets, the longest being 5.6 cm. Some wires are singles and some have multiple wires, but all have an amazingly different look. The fine, hair-like wires on some pieces are dramatic. The diversity of shapes and forms is an instant and very fine collection of silver wires. Contemporary material comparing favorably to Kongsberg or German silver wires.
