Wire Silver and Calcite

An elegant curved and curled, acanthite-coated, silver wire is aesthetically attached to a sculptural miniature matrix of intergrown, gray, blocky, complex Calcite rhombohedrons. The wire is 3.0 cm tall at the point of attachment and would probably be 5 to 6 cm tall, if stretched out. Much more silver embedded on one side of the calcites adds richness and character. This excellent combination piece is from more modern era finds in China (2015-on), not the older source in Shanxi (although they look similar). These contemporary Chinese silvers look a lot like some German or Kongsberg styles from old times or from recent finds in Morocco.
