Item Description
This piece comes from a small find in 2013. I purchased this piece in a lot from a couple of miners who risked losing their jobs at the Porco mine, when they "liberated" some specimens from being sent to the smelter in an attempt to make some extra money for their families. I was fortunate enough to obtain what was available pieces. Typically the Silver specimens from Bolivia are somewhat "flat" and boring, but this piece is aesthetic for a Bolivian specimen. It has an elegant form with a nice antique patina on the surface. It's important to note that the mine at Porco is THE oldest and most significant Silver mine in Bolivia, so if you're lucky enough to get your hands on a specimen of this classic material, it's a real treat.
