Item Description

A doubly terminated, sharp crystal of the ultra rare vesuvianite species, wiluite, from the Type Locality. This lustrous, glassy, dark olive-green, floater crystal is pristine. These crystals originally sold cheaply as vesuvianite, until they were determined to be a new species. This is a super piece. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection, who bought this piece for $200, when they first became available in 1988 through the Fersman Museum.
