Item Description

Classic for the locality Troostite, the Mn-bearing variety of Willemite from the famous Sterling Mine. The 2.0 cm, doubly terminated crudely hexagonal crystal has orange-brown color and moderate translucence and luster. The crystal is jauntily set in the large elongated glassy massive calcite matrix. Choice and classic combination material from David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named. Neon-green willemite and neon-orange calcite fluorescence.
