Item Description

The famous Sterling Mine is the classic locality for troostite, the Mn-bearing variety of willemite. This is a sharp, large, terminated hexagonal crystal with typical reddish-brown color and moderate luster. Embedded calcite is a typical accessory and adds color and pizzazz. The front is pristine and the attachment on the back is out-of-sight. Choice and classic material from Dick Hauck Collection (an owner of the mine). Partial neon-green willemite and neon-orange calcite fluorescence.
