Willemite (RARE) on Hemimorphite w/ Chrysocolla (Chet Lemanski Coll.)

Item Description

A VERY RARE and impressive large combination plate from the famous extinct Pb-Zn-Cu-Ag-Au-Mo-Sb-V-Fe 79 Mine of Arizona. Willemite is EXTREMELY RARE from here. Tiny, acicular, long prismatic mint-green willemite crystals totally cover the dramatic, sculptural elongated clusters of hemimorphite botryoids. The 1.7 cm broken edge botryoid reveals the banded form of the sky-blue to white hemimorphite and overlying willemite. Five scattered blue-green chrysocolla botryoids, to 5 mm, are a superlative complement to this extreme combination rarity. See the 1972 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 3, No. 6.
