Item Description
Tsumeb blue willemite is generally considered to be the finest example of the species in the world. This is an exceptionally rare style of willemite found only once here, and seldom seen available for sale. Deeply saturated, spherical aggregates AND a couple of RARE sharp dodecahedrons of glassy and gemmy, aquamarine-colored willemite (to 6 mm) are aesthetically clustered on hummocky red-brown willemite crystals, accented with tiny rhombs of pastel-pink dolomite. The combination and contrast of two colors of willemite is unique and beautiful. They are lustrous and bright. Both colors fluorescese! The piece displays well from two directions without aid. Valued at $750-1000.
