Willemite on Axinite-(Mn) (ex Rich Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

A micro specimen from Franklin featuring small Willemite needles on yellow Axinite-(Mn) from Franklin. I have photographed as much of the specimen under the microscope as to better show off the crystals. An attractive and colorful piece from one of the most prolific localities in the world. A good reference specimen of this well known material. Originally from the collection of Pat Gross in West Orange, New Jersey, and was acquired by Rich Kosnar in 1991. The piece is still housed in Pat's original mounting box, with her hand written label attached to the lid.
