Item Description
Classic, rich zinc and manganese ore from the well-known closed Sterling Mine of the famous Franklin Mining District. The hefty piece is composed of much flesh-red Willemite and black Franklinite, some deep red Zincite and lesser amounts of other minerals. Ex Bill Wilson Collection. We just obtained specimens from his collection and many are from Harvard. Classic neon-green SW UV Willemite fluorescence. A fine and rich combination ore example from the locale.
