Item Description

The famous Tip Top Mine, a pegmatite mined for beryllium, is well-known for its rare phosphate species. Half of the quartz matrix is covered with sharp, gemmy, to 2 mm whitlockite crystals of amazing luster for the locality, and unusual richness in one area. Three pods of an unknown lavender phosphate are noted along the upper edge. Ex Tony Nikischer Collection. Valued $200
