Item Description

A spectacular miniature for this rare species, of unusually sharp form and nature! The piece is a display/competition-worthy miniature that boats atop it a 3-cm-across, very lustrous and slightly translucent, grayish black crystal of whewellite aesthetically perched on smaller, elongated crystals, to 1.2 cm in length. All are lustrous, slightly metallic, and included partly with black smythite. Whewellite is an uncommon, hydrated calcium organic oxalate and smythite is an uncommon iron sulfide. This aesthetic minaiture is one of the better examples of the style we have seen. Valued $2500 in old Obodda dealer stock.
