Item Description

Wherryite is a very rare lead copper sulfate, first discovered at the historic Mammoth-Saint Anthony Mine in Tiger, Arizona. The specimen was named in 1950 after the former President of the Mineralogical Society of America, Edgar Wherry. This piece hosts a soft yellow-green crust of of Wherryite associated with blue Paralaurionite. Super rare material, and never available on the market. If you collect rarities, micros, minerals from Tiger or just minerals of Arizona, don't miss out on this one! This is one of the VERY FEW pieces of this species that we've seen, and comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value.
