Item Description
Wendwilsonite is a rare hydrated calcium magnesium cobalt arsenate that was named after the current and long time editor/publisher of the Mineralogical Record, Wendell Wilson. It was named / approved in 1987 is one of the few species with co-type localities: Bou Azzer, Morocco and Sterling Hill, New Jersey. This beautiful miniature sized piece is from Bou Azzer and features a coverage of sharp, lustrous, translucent, purplish-red color monoclinic crystals on matrix. The largest crystal measures 4 mm. Great quality up close, and this material is not often seen on the market these days. Ex - R. D. Mushlitz Collection.
