Item Description

Wendwilsonite is a rare hydrated calcium magnesium cobalt arsenate which was first described from the Bou Azzer District in Morocco, along with the famous Sterling Mine in New Jersey. The mineral was named in 1987 after the current and long time editor/publisher of the "Mineralogical Record", Wendell Wilson. This piece features several superb, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, electric fuchsia purple color monoclinic crystals measuring up to 4 mm on matrix. Specimens of this material are quite uncommon on the market and highly sought after for their rarity and sheer visceral beauty. Valued at $700.
