Item Description

Wendwilsonite is a rare hydrated calcium magnesium cobalt arsenate that was named after the current and long time editor/publisher of the "Mineralogical Record", Wendell Wilson. It was discovered in 1987 and Bou Azzer is the type locality for this beautiful species. This piece features a few sharp, lustrous, translucent, fuschia purple color monoclinic crystals of Wendwilsonite on matrix. Specimens of this material are certainly uncommon on the market.
