Weloganite large crystal in matrix (Type Locality , old find!)

An aesthetic and very fine large matrix weloganite specimen from this famous extinct Type Locality limestone quarry in Montreal. A 2.2 cm crystal is beautifully set in the 4.5 cm vug. The translucent yellow crystal has the striking typical layered tapered form of the species. Weloganite is an ultra rare, strontium, sodium, zirconium carbonate.
