Item Description

Strange looking stalactitic growths of bi-colored goethite envelope two sides of the massive hematite matrix on this very unusual and showy specimen from the Kalahari. Many of the nubby, black stalactites are capped by weird-looking, highly lustrous and translucent, green with gray pupils "eyes". Facinating and rare material. These are possibly pseudomorphs after kutnohorite.
