Item Description

Wow! This is certainly one of the most unusual elbaites we have seen from this famous pegmatite. Very soft to the touch white elbaite fibers fill the interior on one end and part of the interior on the other end of this heavily etched crystal. The extremely glassy, well-striated crystal is quite gemmy with colors ranging from pretty bottle-green to teal-blue. The rounded groove on one end obviously held another tourmaline crystal at one time. Most facinating, rare, possibly unique material from this noted locale and with a fine provenance. Ex Jack Halpern Collection # 3580. Value???
