Item Description
A bizarre and striking, intensely etched inside and out, doubly terminated, CABINET, aquamarine crystal from Pakistan. The light powder-blue, translucent crystal has a crackly look from the etching. One end is heavily tapered with a nifty point. One side of the textbook hexagonal crystal is fully there, but the other side is amazingly etched with a central cavern opening and large hollow tube, about 8 mm, that comes out at the blocky termination. Heavily etched Pakistan aquas are not that common and this is an outstanding large example from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb priced this piece at $1200, he thinks around a decade ago. It is hefty at 162 grams. It looks like a partially melted blue icicle - very surreal and pretty!
