An amazing, really complicated amethyst/smoky quartz specimen from the Pohndorf Mine of Montana and the Richard Hauck Collection. Gemmy and lustrous, doubly terminated and sceptered, parallel-growth, amethyst quartz crystals rest on a shard of smoky quartz. The fabulous, stepped-growth faces and pointed terminations on the amethyst crystals make the specimen look like a "Battlestar Galactica" spaceship! Nearly pristine, except for trivial periphery wear. Older, seldom available material and totally unique material. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
