Item Description
Lots of embedded and enclosed strange looking cerussite crystals in this hefty for the size ore specimen in laminated gossan matrix. The glassy smoky-gray crystals have typical adamantine luster with nifty rippled faces. The large, well-placed lozenge-shaped crystal at one with the bruised edge is 1.8 cm long. Both sides have numerous embedded crystals. Ex Kay Robertson Collection with no number. Her label was lost during the move. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record) and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017). YELLOW-GREEN fluorescence. Rich and unusual looking Tsumeb cerussite. Rich lead ore with 118 grams mass.
