Item Description

An otherworldly large 360-degree stalactitic cave calcite from the well-known caves of Wenshan. The body of this sureal piece is composed of striking rings of calcite rhombs and is fantastically crowned by a knob of dogtooth calcite crystals. Complete all-around and pristine, this is a unique calcite from China or any worldwide locality! "A doubtful locality. The spelling is definitely wrong, because the syllable "Gian" does not exist in transliteration systems from the Chinese language (MINDAT)." This unique calcite is illustrated in the MINDAT localty Photo Gallery and was the MINDAT.org Photo of the Day - 17th Mar 2010. It comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base, valued at $145, for free. Valued at $1000 and worth it.
