Wavellite with Turquoise (var: Rashleighite) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

A cool old Cornish specimen of Wavellite associated with Turquoise (var: Rashleighite). Originally Rashleighite was a valid species, now defined as an iron-bearing Turquoise and an intermediary between Chalcosiderite and Turquoise. This piece features beautiful sky blue patches of this Turquoise varietal which have formed in between thin crystallized layers of "needle"-like white Wavellite in Quartz matrix. Very hard to find on the market, and a must-have for any collection of minerals of Cornwall or a general phosphate collection. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2185).
