Item Description

A rarely seen, showy display specimen of Wavellite from the famed Siglo XX Mine in Bolivia. While this mine is well-known for its phosphates, good aesthetic Wavellite specimens are few and far between. This piece hosts a few attractive light yellow colored radiating aggregates of translucent Wavellite measuring up to 1.5 cm across, sitting on prismatic, colorless Quartz along with small sparkling dark brown Cassiterite crystals on matrix. There are a few imperfections, so the piece is not completely pristine, but it's still very attractive and one of the better Wavellites we've had to offer from this prestigious Bolivian locale in the auctions.
