Item Description
This quality matrix specimen of Wavellite with Augilite is from the well-known Siglo Veinte mine in Bolivia. The spherical balls of radial Wavellite, a classic habit, average about 9 mm across, and their luster is excellent. What is interesting, and super attractive, is that many Wavellite needles extend beyond the surface of ths spheres. This is highly aesthetic, and distinctly different than most Wavellites. Associated are small spheres of chalk-white Augelite, which adds a lot of interest to the piece. One of the better Wavellite miniatures I have seen from Siglo Veinte.
