Wavellite (unusual varietal)

Bladed, blue-green, bubbly, botryoidal wavellite covers the undulating shale matrix on this very showy and uncommon varietal from the NEW, 2010 find in Arkansas. The blades have a muted luster, but the contacted sides are TOTALLY different! The sides reveal the gorgeous banding of glassy, chatoyant, bright yellow-green and blue-green acicular crystals. This is an very fine sculptural example of this new find, as it showcases an uncommon varietal of wavellite in impactful display. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
