Wavellite (strong color)

Item Description

Arkansas Wavellites are the most strongly colored examples of the species known. The intense green hues seen are caused by only a small amount of Vanadium content, but it's enough to create the incredibly strong color. This piece is a nice reference specimen featuring dark green radiating aggregates on a thin layer of matrix. There is some damage, so it's not pristine, but the contacted areas do show variations in color with some attractive blue and yellow coloring.
