Item Description

Wavellite specimens are rare from this famous open pit copper mine. The sculptural boxwork vug is lined with translucent, pastel-green botryoids and charmingly accented with large and brighter straw-yellow botryoids. Rare, rich and excellent older material from the Bob Trimingham Collection and obtained in 1973. The piece could date to the early 1950s, according to Bob's label. A must for the locality or species collector.
