Wavellite (rare locale)

Item Description

This former lode Gold deposit northeast of Sacramento has interestingly produced some very attractive green Wavellites, reminisent of those from Arkansas. I've been told that these specimens were mined over 50 years ago, and very little material has been seen these days. This piece features olive-green, radiating aggregates of Wavellite measuring up to 5 mm on matrix. Good quality for the locality, and a cool hard to find piece from California for any collector of the material.
