Item Description

Some of the most aesthetic and displayable specimens of Wavellite have come from the Siglo XX mine in Bolivia as described by Mark Bandy. This specimen is from a recent find (early 2011). This piece features a rather LUSTROUS and gemmy, light yellow color sphere-shaped radiating aggregates of Wavellite associated with gemmy, colorless, prismatic Quartz crystals creating a very attractive and aesthetic specimen. The quality of the Wavellite spheres is good, especially when compared to finds from the last 15 years at Siglo XX. Despite a little bit of roughness to the termination of the Quartz crystals, this is a nice display specimen of an uncommon mineral.
