Item Description

Some of the most aesthetic and displayable specimens of Wavellite have come from the Siglo XX mine in Bolivia as described by Mark Bandy. This specimen is from a brand recent find of this material (late 2010). This piece features a few attractive, sphere-shaped radiating aggregates measuring up to 1.1 cm across on white / colorless translucent Quartz crystal matrix. The quality of the spheres is good, despite a little bit of roughness, especially when compared to finds from the last 15 years at Siglo XX. A nice display specimen of an uncommon mineral, with good color.
