Item Description

EXCEPTIONAL rich green color and way above average sparkle and luster on the translucent wavellite botryoids on this outstanding small cabinet from a NEW 2024 find at this well-known Arkansas locale. The richly mounded plate is highlighted by large 1.6 cm botryoid at the crest of the piece. The broken botryoid on the periphery reveals the striking classic radial growth of the multi-hued, chatoyant acicular crystals, adding character. Specimens with this striking fine rich green color, luster, botryoid richness and overall aesthetics from Mauldin Mountain are rare. Classic material with very rich color and luster, making this some of the finest wavellite in the world.
