Item Description

A fantastic eye-catching and showy specimen Wavellite botryoids from the famous de Linde Pits of Arkansas. These are large "balls" for the species and the locality and show good luster with a lovely yellow-green hue. I think my favorite aspect of the piece is that there are many fine quality, COMPLETE unbroken spheres of Wavellite, which is significant because there are lots of pieces on the market where nearly every sphere is broken. The largest Wavellite "ball" measures 2.7 cm across. Rarely does one see several large individual spheres packed into a specimen like this. Classic material, and certainly some of the most beloved Wavellite in the world for color. Valued at $3,000 for the size, quality and coverage of mostly undamaged spheres. Many people agree that the best pieces from Arkansas are the finest color Wavellites extant!
