Item Description
Some of the largest and most displayable specimens of wavellite have come from the Siglo XX mine in Bolivia as described by Mark Bandy. This cute sand-colored thumbnail hemisphere is composed of lustrous radiating wavellite crystals resting on a thin, two-layer matrix. The key aspect to this piece is the fact that the luster is very good compared to most wavellites from Siglo XX. An attractive phosphate specimen from this classic locality. Older material from the Jaime Bird Collection. excellent thumbnail specimen
