Wavellite (excellent - NEW Find)

Three generations of wavellite are visible on this striking, scuptural specimen from a NEW 2010 find at Avant, Arkansas. Lime-green, banded, botryoidal wavellite lines both of the vugs in the shale matrix. The pod of lime-green eggs is very nifty. Lustrous, translucent, pretty bottle-green, bladed botryoids fill the lower vug. Gorgeous, translucent, wet-look, grass-green, bladed botryoids line the dramatic elongated grotto. This is an very fine sculptural example of this new find, as it showcases three varieties of wavellite.
