Wavellite (excellent - NEW Find)

Item Description

Bladed, sea-green, lustrous and translucent wavellite botryoids cover the CABINET novaculite crust on this really good specimen from a NEW 2010 find at Avant, Arkansas. Some of the interstices between the botryoids are filled with bladed, yellow-green wavellite, which really adds character and color variation. The periphery wear on the sides shows the classic sea-green "rays" radiating out from the yellow core of the "suns". The surface architecture of this piece is exceptionally fine.
