Item Description

Wavellite is a well-known phosphate species that is found in a wide range of colors around the world. Certainly some of the finest specimens in terms of quality and COLOR are the famed examples found in localities around Avant, Arkansas. This piece is a really attractive and showy specimen featuring shimmering, velvety, rich blue-green Wavellite botryoids from the famous de Linde Pits. There are many fine quality, COMPLETE unbroken spheres of Wavellite measuring up to 1.0 cm across. The spheres fortunately formed in a part of the pocket where they weren't pressed against the other side and broken upon removal. Rarely does one see so many complete "balls" on a specimen like this. Classic material, and certainly some of the most beloved Wavellite in the world for color. Valued at $750 for the coverage of mostly undamaged spheres. The best of this material is the finest color Wavellite extant!
