Item Description

A nice and showy specimen of somewhat velvety, green Wavellite botryoids from the famous Mt. Mauldin quarries of Arkansas. The largest "ball" measures 1.3 cm across. Classic material, and certainly some of the most beloved Wavellite in the world for color. Please note that this piece was erroneously labeled as coming from "Magnet Cove". Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#7589). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
