A really attractive and showy specimen of velvety / vitreous, rich green Wavellite botryoids from the famous Dug Hill locality in Arkansas. The largest complete "ball" measures 1.7 cm across which is very good sized for the locality. Classic material, and certainly some of the most beloved Wavellite in the world for color. Typically, the spheres from this locality are broken / contacted because of the nature of the mining process and how the pieces formed. This piece actually has a few complete undamaged spheres, and the only real damage is around the periphery where it was removed from the pocket wall. Great quality, color and size in terms of the spheres! Wavellite is not often seen with such intense coloring, and the material from Arkansas is among the finest for the species. Valued at $950.
