Some of the finest Wavellite specimens in the world come from the area around Avant, Arkansas. For size, quality and color, they are pound for pound as good as any Wavellites you'll find out there. This is a really attractive and showy specimen of shimmering, velvety, blue-green Wavellite botryoids from the famous de Linde Pits of Arkansas. There are dozens of COMPLETE unbroken spheres of Wavellite measuring up to 1.0 cm across. Despite some roughness around the edge where the piece was separated from the pocket wall, it is remarkably complete on the display side with great form. Rarely does one see so many individual "balls" packed into a specimen like this, especially with this many complete spheres. A lot of Wavellites from this area are contacted with only half spheres or broken spheres, so a piece like this is a big deal for its quality. Priced at $1200 for the coverage of mostly undamaged spheres.
