Wavellite (beautiful color)

This is a lovely small cabinet specimen of these beautiful Wavellites from Avant. While Wavellite has been reported from a good number of world localities, arguably the finest and most colorful specimens in the world are found in Arkansas. This piece features fine quality, bright bluish-green colored "balls" of Wavellite measuring up to 6 mm across on matrix. My favorite aspect of the piece is that the vast majority of the spheres are complete and not contacted, which is honestly not that common for this material. You'll see a lot of incomplete and just plain broken spheres of Wavellite from the various localities in Arkansas, so when you find an attractive piece like this with full complete spheres, it's significant.
